The Chef's Booth is one of our most popular and delicious activities. From James Beard Award winning chefs to local chefs and educators we connect our community and visitors to the bounty of Marin.
We invite a diverse line-up of Chefs to teach and demonstrate with the produce and products of our market. Some of our chefs have been:
- Anna Lappé - author and founder of Small Planet Institute.
- Bruce Aidells - founder of the nationally distributed Aidells Sausage Co. and author of 11 cookbooks.
- Margo True - food editor at Sunset magazine, calls us the best small farmers market west of the Mississippi and is a frequent chef/teacher.
- James Beard Award winner Cindy Pawlcyn has pioneered fresh, local, seasonal, sustainable cuisine since opening Napa Valley's legendary Mustards Grill in 1983.
We enjoy our "famous" chefs, but love to highlight our local chefs like Chef David Cook our resident West Marin seafood guru and Margaret Grade and Daniel Delong of Sir and Star. Chef Christian Caiazzo of Osteria Stellina and GBD grilled cheese has shared his secrets and his chefs with us. David Evans of Marin Sun Farms has taught our guests the ins and outs of grass fed meats and how to prepare them.
Dr. Anna O'Malley of the Coastal Health Alliance, one of our market sponsors, does three demonstrations each season on nutrition and your health. Click here to see our current line-up for the Chef's Booth.
