There are many ways to contribute to the community fun at the Point Reyes Farmers Market. We always need financial sponsorship and donations. Or, you can choose to volunteer in one of the ways explained below.


Calling All Cooks!

Time: 11 am – 12 pm

Calling all cooks, chefs and would-be-chefs! Or anyone with a passion for cooking! The Point Reyes Farmers Market’s popular Chef’s Booth is now scheduling its lineup of cooking demos for the 2015 season. This year we are asking our market goers to think about donning the chef’s jacket and taking a turn behind the booth. Or suggesting a friend or who might be interested.

Do you enjoy cooking a certain ethnic cuisine and feel passionate about sharing it? Contact us. Do you have a culinary talent, like pickling or canning or baking you’d like to share? Contact us.

Guest Chef Demonstration Volunteers

Time: 10 am-12 pm (2 hours).

We are also in need of food-loving, fun-loving helpers. Chefs Booth volunteers help set up and take down, work with the sound system, pass out samples, chop vegetables or do whatever is needed to make the Booth happen. Volunteering can be tailored to fit your schedule. Step up to the Booth, have fun and make new friends! The market starts this year on June 27th and continues every Saturday until early November. This year we will begin an hour later, at 11AM and end at noon.

Musician/Stage Helpers

Time: Saturday am, 1-3 hours.

Help setup, assist musicians and music coordinator.

Market Booth Volunteers

Time: Part or all of 9-1 PM on Saturdays.

This booth provides information, collect emails, fundraise and otherwise interact with market shoppers. Could also involve spelling a farmer or vendor for a few minutes while they take a break.

Weekly Sign Maker

Time: Either do on Friday or early Saturday morning before market opens. 1/2 hour.

Write with dry erase pens what is happening at the market on two tall signs that are posted at each entrance to the market.
