    • Dolcini Red Hill Ranch, Hicks Valley

Situated at the intersection of Hicks Valley Road and Point Reyes-Petaluma Road, Red Hill Ranch has been in the ownership of the same family for nearly a century. Arnold Dolcini, Sr. started a dairy at that location in 1918, and the family has had an agricultural operation there ever since. In 1973, the ranch was inherited by seven Dolcini siblings who are the children of Arnold, Jr. and his wife Betty, both deceased.

Marin Organic - our long time collaborators, sponsors and fellow travelers on this organic food journey - had a warm and well-attended farewell celebration at the market yesterday, as they shut their doors on this chapter. We celebrate their accomplishments, and at the same time, are sorry to see them go. We wish everyone involved a restorative winter and good times and work ahead. (photos by Amy Whelan). ...
